Co-ordinate to this recipe, a 3 pound tenderloin would serve viii to 10. In that location was a recipe in Sun's mag section of the Star Ledger that was very similar (I think I may make information technology) and it said a 3-one/ii pound would serve 8 to ten, that would guarantee you some sandwiches!

I had one that was nigh 3lbs and it feed 7 adults and 2 kids. I was really worried at that place wouldn't be enough meat, simply there was. Now I call back if we had more we would of ate more. It was supost to exist for 4 people when I started the dinner, but more just kept coming.

Still I retrieve iii to 4 pounds should be ok if y'all have lots of other food with it.

Tenderloin should be quite rare - if you don't similar it rare cook something else! My favourite, piece of cake and economical way with beef is to purchase silverside, brown in on all sides in a little butter and oil, wipe the pan, return the meat plus some herbs (bay foliage and thyme) and a canteen of red wine, cover tightly and melt in a very low oven for 3 i/two hours. Lovely with mashed potato and scarlet cabbage!

If I'm cooking rib or other roasting articulation I permit nigh 25ogm uncooked weight per person.

BTW my dwelling house computer has died (pending new hard bulldoze) so I can only log on from work but I'll try to keep up!

Uh oh, I hope it's enough. I ordered ane today from a butcher, but I did tell them how many people so maybe they'll adjust.

Just wanted to say my tenderloin came out perfect! I was so nervous...I mean after spending that much on a piece of meat you lot Exercise Not desire to spiral it upwardly!
